1966 Ford F-100

Description

"Big Red" as she was called by her previous owner is a 1966 F100 that enjoyed a frame off restoration in the early 2000's.  Built at the Ford factory in San Jose, CA, she lived her life in Southern California until I bought her last year.  A rebuilt three-on-the-tree manual transmission is mated to a crate 352 V-8 that only has about 24k since installation.  I'm the third owner; the original owner passed her to a family friend in the late 1990's and they rebuilt her from the ground up.  The restoration brought her back to original condition; except for the stainless steel exhaust (great upgrade!) the carpet (these trucks came only with a rubber mat) and the wheels and hubcaps, everything is like it was in 1966.  She is registered, inspected, and garaged unless on the road.
The frame is pristine.  The body is straight and clean with only some minor surface rust on the rain gutter and in the bed where the finish has chipped away ... both easily fixed.  Despite being 20 years old, the paint job shines in the sun as if it were new.
The engine runs like a top.  She has newer tires, breaks, tune up, and recently passed the MA state safety inspection without a hiccup.   You can't drive this truck anywhere without getting honks and smiles!  With a clear title, all you have to do is register and drive away!
If you want an original, show quality truck, some simple interior changes and a new paint job will have her winning trophies.  Big Red is a great platform for a resto-mod if you want to trick her out.  I hate to give her up, but I bought my dream truck (from my birth year) and my wife won't let me keep both ... so Big Red needs a new home.
