    Description

    This is a single page of an illustration taken from the United States 1964 1st Edition of CELESTINO PIATTI’s iconic children’s book, THE HAPPY OWLS, which he both wrote and illustrated. The picture I bought years ago at an auction the San Francisco Public Library.
    The picture depicts a sly, orange fox in the woods living peacefully with the protagonists, the two happy owls. The illustration is in vibrant, deep colors and created in the wonderfully captivating style that Piattelli, himself, created.
    Measuring 11” wide x 8 ½” tall, the illustration is in mint condition. There are no stains, scratches, tears, flaws or odors. There is text on the back that corresponds to the picture before it.
    There is no certificate or provenance, just my word. It is priced accordingly.
    I’ll send it in acid free cover, flat between cardboard panels.
