FOSTORIA Azure BLUE JUNE Etch 6" Finger Bowl Underplate or Liner, EVC!

Description

This listing features one (1)  6" finger bowl underplate or liner made by the Fostoria Glass Company during the years of 1928 to 1944.  The plate is azure blue in color, and features the popular "June" etching.  The first three photos are of the front of the underplate, and the remaining three photos are of the reverse of the underplate.
The finger bowl underplate is in excellent vintage condition having no flakes, nicks, or chips.  It does have a very few thin usage marks on the milled-off section on its reverse side (the area that touches a table or shelf).
You can see what appears to be scratching in the center-left section of the plate in the first photo.  This is not from a scratch.  I checked the plate with a jeweler's loupe, and this was caused by the acid or etching tool.
It is quite common for Fostoria June pieces to have both microscopic bubbles and what I refer to as "acid faults" which occurred at the time of manufacture.
The Fostoria decorators inadvertently left microscopic disturbances resulting from the acid or etching tool they were using in the etching process.   The best way to discern these areas are "acid faults" and not scratches is to study the piece with a magnifying glass.  As these things occurred at the time of manufacture, they do not affect the value of the piece.  I have seen both a speck of dirt and tiny bits of string in Fostoria June pieces.
