Fostoria Corsage Relish Dish 3-Part #2440 Elegant Depression Glass 1935-1960 WOW

Offered for sale - fresh from an estate sale- comes this beautiful relish dish in the "Corsage" pattern.  The "Corsage" pattern was manufactured by the Fostoria Glass Company starting in 1935 and ending in 1960.  Not all pieces were manufactured during the entire run so some pieces are scarcer than others.  This is considered "Elegant Depression Glass" and I identified this pattern in the book "Collectible Glassware from the 40's, 50's, and 60's" written by Cathy & Gene Florence (copyright 2010, 10th edition) on pages 44 & 45.  The piece that I am offering is identified in the book as a 3-part relish dish - style #2440 - measuring 12 1/4 inches long from handle to handle and 9 1/2 inches long from inside handle to inside handle.  This measures 7 11/16th wide and stands 2 inches tall.  The beautiful pattern features an ice cream cone-looking cornucopia holding various flowers - flowers and vines attach these to other cornucopias.  This is a gorgeous, elegant, hand-made piece from the Depression Era and it is in EXCELLENT SHAPE - there are no chips, no cracks, no cloudiness at all.  In the last two (2) photos I have tried to show a slight discoloration on one or two of the flowers - the pattern is intact!!  All in all a spectacular piece!!  Please see the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.  Remember - shipping to the West Coast may cost more.  Thank you for visiting my eBay Store and Happy Shopping!!
