PLEASE NOTE: I'm out of town from Tuesday, June 1 through Friday, June 4, and will be unable to ship anything or answer any questions during that time period. Here's a cute little piece of vintage elegant glassware which was made by the Fostoria Glass Company of Moundsville, West Virginia. The blank for this is shown in the old Fostoria catalogs as the
No. 2375 Bon Bon
; the decoration on this is Fostoria's Plate Etching No. 278, called the "Versailles" Design, which was introduced in 1928 and produced in this pink color, which Fostoria called 'Rose', until 1944..
The piece is about 2-3/8" high at the bowtie handles, about 5-1/2" wide from side to side, and about 6-3/4" long, and the ground and polished base is about 2-5/8" in diameter. It's in nice shape, with no nicks, chips, flakes or fleabites; a couple of light scratches here and there from age, but nothing you're going to see or notice unless you're holding it up to a light. Beautiful piece of vintage Fostoria, wonderful color, awesome etch, I've got way too much glassware in my life (and can't seem to stop buying more), so this needs a new home.
