Villeroy & Boch Mettlach #2834 Mosaic floral pattern beaker

Description

This is a Villeroy & Boch Mettlach #2834 Mosaic floral pattern beaker made in Germany. The number 2834 refers to the design. The floral pattern is continuous around the diameter and unlike PUG (print under glaze) beakers, the design is pressed into the surface. I would suspect these were more difficult to make because of that feature. The number is impressed on the bottom along with the company logo which is printed. Often the year it was made represented by two numbers, ie. 03 for 1903
and 35(?) for the quality control number are also stamped on them.
It
measures 5” tall and has a line on the outside with ¼ L impressed into the side meaning that when filled to the line the volume is ¼ liter. This beaker is problem free, no chips or flea bites, hairlines or cracks, crazing and stains
. This beaker is scarce - I've only seen it two times since I've been collecting, the time when I bought it and one other time.
Condition is Used.
