Vintage FOSTORIA " HOLLY " Pattern Etched Center Handled Platter Exc Cond

You are viewing a very fine perfect vintage Fostoria "Holly" etched center-handled sandwich platter.  Fostoria made the Holly cut pattern in 1942, and it's incredibly popular.  This eye-catching platter features a crescent-shaped "cresting wave" handle, and it's in nearly immaculate condition!  There are no chips, cracks, flakes, fleabites, nicks or roughness anywhere, and the glass is nice and shiny - no stains, utensil scratches, oxidation, or dullness. There is one small line against the holly band. See photos.
It measures 11 1/2 inches in diameter, and it stands about 4 1/2 inches high.
The Holly pattern can be seen photographed either in Gene Florence's "Collectible Glassware of the 1940s, 50s & 60s", or in Coe's "Elegant Glassware - Early, Depression & Beyond".
