Just unscrew the tip, insert the thermite cartridge, recap it and pull back on the spring-loaded plunger detonator.
In seconds it would heat to 200watts, and last 6-10 minutes. NO CARTRIDGES included here.
Photos 1 & 2 are ned views of the device, #2 showing its length...12". Photo 3 shows the plunger handle; and #4 has the plunger extended 1", but it goes another 1/4" further out. Photo 5 is a closer look at the front of the handle, and the scaling varnish can be seen. Photo 6 is the closed tip, and the 'home-ground' area of the tip is evident. Photo 7 has the thermite chamber open; and in Photo 8 the plunger detonator tip is showing.
This soldering iron, with the tip unscrewed, fits nicely into a Small Flat Rate box, so delivery will be fast as well as reasonable. Questions welcome. More pics available.
