  • Condition: It is a nice attractive piece but there is a iridescent finish with the dark green glaze that appears to have a crackle to it. I don’t think it would be considered crazing. The glaze is smooth to the touch and with your nail. I’m not sure if it would be considered a defect or if it is intentional. It is most notable on the handle especially at the base of the handle and round the underside of the top and bottom edges (the dark green areas). It is more notable at an angle to a light source and on close inspection. There is a rough area where the glaze may be thin just at the bend in the handle where your thumb would rest.     DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
    Up for sale is a vintage Schedel puzzle or trick stein with a stag or elk decoration. It measures about 7” high and is about 4.25” wide at the top and 4.75” at the base.
    It is a nice attractive piece but there is a iridescent finish with the dark green glaze that appears to have a crackle to it. I don’t think it would be considered crazing.
